This life is not all there is!

I was in the home of a friend recently, whose young son was running around with a hammer pretending to be “Thor.” What women do not understand about men (I think) is that Superheroes are not imaginations for young boys. They are “options.”
Where does that desire to live forever, to do good in the world, and help others in need come from?
It is because God designed us, in his image, to live for eternity. Even though we know everyone eventually dies, death always seems unnatural and unfair. The reason we feel we should live forever is that God wired our brains with that desire!
Matthew Henry said,
“It ought to be the business of every day to prepare for our final day.”
Think of it:
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:4, NLT)
