Dear Lord,

I look to You and nothing else. Help me to stay close to You, because I know that if I do, I will always be standing on solid ground. No matter what happens today, help me to keep my heart and mind focused on You. Regardless of what tries to shake up my life, I know that You are in charge of all that happens to me. You have promised me that You will cause everything to work together for my good and Your glory (Romans 8:28).

Your presence brings me joy and gladness and peace because of the hope I have in You.

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,” (Psalm 16:8–9, NIV)
