Years ago I took my family to see a Passion Play in Branson, MO. Our youngest, six-year-old Abbey, sat in her seat watching the unfolding of the Resurrection Story. This particular portrayal had someone representing Satan who appeared behind the scenes and had an evil laugh as he manipulated Judas, Caiaphas and Pilate to crucify Jesus.

After one particularly disturbing scene, Abbey came and sat on my lap to watch the rest of the play.

I leaned over and whispered, with my arms around her,
"Are you getting scared, honey?"

She said loudly enough for everyone around us to hear,
"No! I'm not scared! I know how this story ends!"

Great answer!

In the midst of all of the craziness going on in the world right now (as I write, the Coronavirus has not yet been contained), it's good to remind ourselves that we know how this story ends!
