You looked over my shoulder as I wrote to a young mother in Kansas who was a young child who grew to be a newlywed in the fifth church God led me to start.

After our emails answering the questions about the "End Times" and the glories waiting for God's children in heaven, I received this email from her assuring me that she understands now where her fears came from:

"Thank you Pastor Beau for putting my mind at ease. I’ve been contemplating the messages you’ve sent. Actually very convicting!

 Looking at it from a trust angle never entered my mind. I never actually thought I didn’t trust God, in all honesty I’ve had a very easy and good life, no reason not to trust God, but when I really honestly think about it I haven’t been fully putting my trust in God when I live in fear about his coming!

 Sometimes I feel becoming a Christian at a young age almost makes me feel like I don’t have trust issues with God, faith is just something I’ve had since i was young and everything has been fairly smooth in my life. So now as I have my own family and I realize that life is precious and there’s more to life then just me I’m experiencing fears that I didn’t before. Knowing I’m responsible for my children and teaching them the right things and understanding how deep love actually is, is exposing the lack of trust I’ve had in Jesus, more explicitly the lack of relationship I’ve had with him. Just going day to day not really investing in my relationship with him, still believing in God but not really expanding and deepening my relationship.
My mind isn’t, of course perfectly at ease but the conviction is there to help motivate me to pour more of myself into Jesus. The hard part is actually pursuing that and not just feeling it." (used with permission)

I am so glad that she grasps these essential truths!

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
