Jesus is Knocking - Will You Answer?

Please take anointing oil or olive oil with you as you walk around and through your property. The key is not the exact words you say, but what you believe in your heart about the Lord and His willingness and ability to protect your family.

As you anoint the doorway to your home’s bedrooms, read this Scripture out loud:

“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear ...” (Psalm 3:5–6, NIV)

Pray:
“Lord my God, please bless the doorway to this bedroom and place a hedge of protection around those that find rest here. Allow us to find relaxation, comfort and peace inside these walls and on this bed.
Grant us refreshing sleep and a quiet peaceful haven to slumber and fellowship with you. Lord I pray that we sense your presence here and dream the dreams that You place in our hearts.

God, please let us wake each day refreshed as you provide new mercies each day. Thank you that you have promised,

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22–23, NLT)

Protect my family and me from anything that dishonors you in this bedroom. 

Lord, I pray for (name of child) to have an ever-increasing hunger for more of You as they spend time alone in this bedroom. I pray that he (she) grows to have a yearning for Your presence - a hunger for Your Word, praise and worship of You. Give him (her) a desire for obedience to Your truth and a longing to understand and live Your Word. Teach him (her) to live by faith and not by fear, and may their lives be marked by obedience to You. May a deep reverence for You and Your ways color everything he (she) says and does and may it bring You glory. Help him (her) to understand the consequences of his (her) decisions as he (she) is led by Your Spirit.  Help him (her) to not be wise in his (her) own eyes, but to walk securely in the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 3:7). In Jesus' name. Amen.”

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”” (Matthew 11:28–30, NLT)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” (Psalm 4:8, NLT)
