Are you feeling fearful or unhappy about the thought of the Lord’s return?

What do you do?

First, get ready!!

The next event on God’s calendar is the return of Jesus. There is not one more prophecy that has to be fulfilled in order for Jesus to return. Are you ready for His return? It could happen today or 1,000 years from today, but it WILL HAPPEN!

Second, every Christian should live a life worthy of the calling we have in Christ.

“Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3, NLT)

Knowing the Lord Jesus, walking in His will, helping your family live a life worthy of Him goes a long way towards diminishing fear of any kind.

Third, we are told what will happen in the end, and it’s extremely encouraging!!

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.”
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, NLT)

Rather than fear the future, we are called to anticipate the future with joy.
Why?
In Christ, we will be “caught up” to meet Him and we “will always be with the Lord.”

Imagine that!
This is God’s reality, not a wish or hope.

You will see your loved ones again.

And they will look their very best, as you will, too!

So instead of being fearful of His return, welcome it! Your family will be, well, PERFECT!

Nobody's perfect, right?

But they will be!!!!
